A German woman who went missing from her home in 1984 at the age of 24 was found well and alive 31 years later.

Before her disappearance she had reportedly withdrawn money from her account and asked her neighbor to look after her pet bird.
After a futile search authorities declared her dead, this after a local murderer who has murdered a 14 year old girl confessed to killing Pazsikta too.
Although her body was never found the man was sentence and her case was closed soon after.
Decades later, the now 55-year-old woman was discovered after a Mrs. Schneider reported a burglary at her home in Duesseldorf, a city in the west of Germany.
She had no ID and eventually admitted to the police that she had been living under a fake identity.
“As to the motive of her disappearance, she gave no explanation, and expressly said that she continues to want no contact with the public or her family,” a Braunschweig and Wolfsburg police spokesperson told the Independent.
Her surviving family members, mother and brother are said to be shocked by the news.
How she had managed to remain incognito for so many years, she never advanced with the world, never had a bank account, a driver’s license and she paid for everything in hard cash.
The elderly woman has been declared officially alive and will not be facing charges.
