Lindiwe Mazibuko Will Not Run For Zille’s Position

LindiweFormer DA parliament leader, Lindiwe Mazibuko says she will not be returning to South Africa to run for the soon to be vacant post of the party’s leader.

This after Helen Zille announced over the weekend that she will not be available for re election on the party’s May election congress.

Mazibuko said on Monday: “I wish to clarify that I will not be making myself available for election to any leadership post at the DA’s 2015 congress. Rather, I will be watching and supporting my friends, colleagues and fellow democrats from across the Atlantic.”

Mazibuko has been studying abroad since she quit her position as the party’s parliament leader last year to focus on her “Studies”.

Zille has led the Democratic Allience since 2007, when Toni Leon resigned.
