However, these non-cops soon find themselves tangled in the real life world of crime, mobsters and corrupt LAPD officers.

With the help of The Giver, Jonas uncovers the truths of the former world that humans inhabited, and learns that many years’ earlier people were forced to give up humanity by those in authority in order to maintain a stable society.
