It’s your wedding day so you should make a bit of an effort with your appearance. Here are some style and health tips for grooms as they prepare for the wedding day.
Skin: Begin with the basics, a skin care routine of cleansing, exfoliating and moisturizing daily. Use a good moisturizer to keep skin smooth and hydrated. Exfoliate with a face scrub at least once a week to improve skin’s surface.
Face: For smooth shaving the day of the big event, skip shaving the day before. When shaving, shave with the grain with very light pressure. Reapply a thin coat of shaving cream and shave against the grain for smoother results. Use products that are gentle and don’t contain irritants such as fragrance, menthol or alcohol to avoid irritations like in growing hair.
Hair: Use a gentle shampoo that will not strip away natural moisturizers. Don’t get a new haircut style or trim a few days before the wedding since this could turn out to be a disaster.
Nails & Hands: Make sure your nails are clean and trim, and hands are moisturized. Why not do a manicure?
Fitness: Get fit with a nutritious diet and a regular exercise routine.
Cologne: If you choose to wear cologne, keep the scent light and the application minimum.
Problems, such as under-eye circles, fine lines and acne, can be treated with products specifically formulated for them.
